New Leader Integration
When a new leader is appointed to run an existing business unit, the uncertain environment and lack of familiarity between the leader and team often results in an inefficient, trial-by-error learning process that impedes organizational effectiveness. New Leader Integration (NLI) is a process designed to dramatically reduce the ambiguity and wasted efforts of a typical transition, create an environment of open communication, and set the tone for rapidly moving forward to address business issues facing the group.
Through two half-day facilitated sessions, NLI helps alleviate much of the work and personal uncertainty for both you, as the leader, and the team members, accelerates the achievement of effective team work, and minimizes any productivity loss during managerial transitions.
360 ® Assessment
To be most effective as a leader, it is important to know how you are received and perceived by others with whom you regularly interact – peers, direct reports, and supervisors. An excellent way to obtain this information is through a confidential multi-rater, or 360°, assessment process conducted by one of our consultants through use of an assessment tool or via individual interviews. The data collected from either method can be used to help you identify leadership strengths – behaviors/skills you will want to continue to enhance – and areas for further development where improvement can lead to increased leadership capacity and success. Information gathered through the 360° assessment should be used to create a development plan with meaningful objectives, actions to achieve them, and reasonable timeframes within which development should occur. Often, the development plan will include the use of leadership/executive coaching to support you in achieving your objectives.
Interaction Style® Profiler
The Interaction Style® Profiler is a self-assessment tool to help you identify your behavioral preferences. To be successful in critical business situations, both as an individual leader and as part of a team, it is essential to understand your own preferences and behaviors as well as those of others with whom you are interacting. When you can identify the differences in the way people behave and use that information to tailor your approach, you will be able to communicate more effectively, be a more productive contributor to your business, and be more comfortable handling challenging interactions. Interaction Styles® can be completed during an individual one-on-one session or as part of a team activity/workshop.
Myers Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®)
MBTI is an assessment for measuring one’s psychological type and identifying behavioral tendencies along four dichotomous scales: extraversion/introversion, sensate/intuitive, thinking/feeling and judging/perceiving. The theory of psychological type purports that what seems like random behavior is actually quite orderly and consistent based on the differences in the way individuals use their perception (how you become aware of things) and judgment (how you come to conclusions about what you perceive). When you understand your type preference and that of your team members, you can better manage your time, solve problems, deal with stress, make decisions, and engage with others by approaching all of these in a manner that best suits your style and the styles of others with whom you are working. The MBTI assessment can be completed as part of an individual one-on-one session or as part of a team activity/workshop.
DiSC® Personal Assessment
DiSC® is an easy-to-understand and effective personal assessment tool used to build productive teams, develop effective managers & leaders, help manage change and conflict, and enhance work relationships & productivity. The DiSC® assessment reports behavioral tendencies along four dimensions – dominance, influencing, steadiness, and compliance – and provides strengths and weaknesses of the related behaviors. With a common language and a better understanding of behavior, you can enhance your communications, better understand and adapt to differences in management styles and work more effectively with peers, team members, and direct reports. The DiSC® assessment can be completed as part of an individual one-on-one session or as part of a team activity/workshop.
